The west end of Cultus lake is closed due to on-going air operations in the area. Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Marine Deputies will be patrolling this area until it is reopened and denying entry. The Cultus Lake Resort and Campground are open, however, we ask those that choose to stay in the area be prepared to leave immediately if conditions worsen.
The Sheriff’s Office appreciates the cooperation and understanding of those wishing to recreate in the Cultus Lake area. We are continuing to work with fire managers to ensure public safety and prevent conflicts between visitors and fire operations.
Information will be updated as it changes, but the public should expect some degree of use restrictions in the Cultus Lake area through the weekend.
